SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – A woman was fatally stabbed in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood early Sunday morning, police said Monday.

Officers responded at 1:51 a.m. to a report of a disturbance in the 400 block of Eddy Street. They arrived to find the victim, who had been stabbed with a knife, according to police.

The victim’s name has not been released because the medical examiner’s office is still working to notify her family of the death.

The suspect, described as a man between 25 and 30 years old, had not been found as of this morning, police said.

The homicide was one of four in the city over the weekend.

Jose Escobar, 19, was killed in a shooting at 16th and Caledonia streets in the Mission District around 2:45 a.m. Saturday.

That night, shortly after 11 p.m., a man believed to be around 30 years old was found fatally stabbed in a car at Fifth and Mission streets in the South of Market neighborhood. His name has not yet been released.

The fourth homicide was reported shortly before 10 a.m. Sunday in the Tenderloin. That victim, William Swiatek, 62, was found with a head injury in a room at a building in the 600 block of O’Farrell Street, police said.

Anyone with information about any of the cases is encouraged to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411.
