Arrest Made In Killing Of Stockton Woman Found In Pleasanton Garbage Can

STOCKTON (CBS SF) -- Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the death of a Stockton woman whose body was found in a garbage can in Pleasanton in May.

The body was discovered at about 11:30 a.m. on May 24 in the 11000 block of Dublin Canyon Road, Pleasanton police said.

The Stockton Police Department received a missing-person report for 25-year-old Ana Flores-Pineda on June 12. It was later determined that Flores-Pineda was the woman found dead in Pleasanton.

On Wednesday, Pleasanton and Stockton police arrested Javier Prado Sandoval, a 30-year-old Stockton man, on suspicion of murder.

Sandoval was booked into San Joaquin County Jail and the investigation remains ongoing.
