Teen Killed, Another Hurt In Shooting At Sacramento Party

SACRAMENTO (CBS/AP) -- Authorities say a teenager has been killed and a second is hospitalized after a shooting at a party in Sacramento early Saturday.

The teens were hit by gunfire outside of an apartment around 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

One of the teens died at the scene, while the second teen, an 18-year-old, is expected to survive after being shot in the upper body.

The names of the two shooting victims have not been released.

A woman at the party was treated for injuries caused by flying glass during the shooting.

Sheriff's Sgt. Jason Ramos says the apartment complex where the shooting took place is not considered a high crime area.

The fatal shooting is the 36th homicide of the year in Sacramento County.
