Stolen Car Crashes Through Garage Door Of San Jose Home

SAN JOSE (KCBS) - Authorities were looking Friday morning for several suspects in South San Jose after a vehicle crashed through a house, and police suspect it was being driven by car thieves.

Just after 5:00 a.m., a Honda sedan came barreling through the garage door of a Silver Leaf Rd. home, taking out a water heater before coming to a stop in an adjoining bedroom. Fortunately, neither of the elderly residents was injured.

According to police, an unknown number of people in the vehicle took off on foot after the crash. None were immediately apprehended.

KCBS' Matt Bigler Reports:

"It's kind of sad," a neighbor responded to a report that the car was believed to have been stolen before the accident. "It's not the nicest neighborhood but it's getting better."
