Dublin Target Store, Nearby Restaurant Evacuated Due To Gas Leak

DUBLIN (CBS SF) -- A Dublin Target store and a nearby restaurant were evacuated Monday morning because of a gas leak, an Alameda County fire official said.

Fire crews responded to reports of a gas leak at the Target at 2800 Dublin Blvd. just before 10 a.m.

The nearby BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse at 3620 Fallon Road was also evacuated, Alameda County Deputy Fire Chief David Rocha said.

Rocha said the leak occurred at a construction site just north of the Target and that a PG&E crew was at the scene. He said a construction crew hit a gas line.

The leak was capped by 11:30 a.m., a fire department spokeswoman said.
