SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) – San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh has been hospitalized because of an irregular heartbeat, the team announced Thursday.

Harbaugh was scheduled to undergo a minor procedure at Stanford Hospital on Thursday and would be back at the facility coaching on Friday, according to a written statement.

Assistant head coach and special teams coordinator Brad Seely oversaw Thursday practice and meetings, team spokeswoman Talia Malik said.

The 49ers will host the Chicago Bears at Candlestick Park on Monday night.
