$25K Reward For Information On Giants Fan Death

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS / AP) -- Relatives of a Giants fan who died after sustaining serious injuries during the World Series victory celebration are offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

San Francisco police said 37-year-old Sean Moffitt died of head trauma at San Francisco General Hospital on Oct. 30, two days after he was hurt during street celebrations in the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood.

Police are trying to determine how he died.

After the celebration, Don Moffit said his grandson told his roommate he had been assaulted by five men, but investigators weren't able to interview Moffitt and no one reported an assault to police.

The San Francisco Chronicle reported that investigators are looking for possible witnesses and surveillance-video footage that may show what happened.
