SUV Goes Over Hill At San Francisco's Twin Peaks

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS 5/KCBS) -- A driver who hit his vehicle's gas pedal as opposed to the brake went over the hill at San Francisco's Twin Peaks viewing area on Thursday afternoon, but fortunately no one was injured, police said.

The man, driving a silver Lexus SUV, told SFPD officers that he accidentally accelerated and jumped the curb and a three-foot high wall at the lookout area.

The SUV traveled an estimated 20 to 30-feet down the steep hill before the driver was able to stop.

Two trucks had to be called to the scene to pull the SUV back up over the wall, witnesses said.
