EL CERRITO (CBS SF) – Police are trying to locate a suspect who assaulted a victim with an ice pick in El Cerrito on Saturday.

Police said the suspect, described only as a 40-year-old Richmond resident, stabbed the victim in the neck with the ice pick during an argument outside a business in the 11200 block of San Pablo Avenue around 11 p.m. Saturday.

The victim declined medical assistance, police said.

The suspect fled the scene before police arrived.

A police sergeant declined Wednesday to comment further on the incident, which is under investigation.
