SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) — Three women were punched during a carjacking in South San Francisco early Sunday morning, according to police.

Officers responded to a report of a carjacking and assault in a motel parking lot in the 100 block of Mitchell Avenue at about 3:30 a.m., according to South San Francisco police.

The suspect, a white man in his 20s, had met one of the victims in a Hayward restaurant and the two agreed to meet up at a nightclub in San Francisco, police said.

The woman, two of her friends and the suspect were intending to share a motel room in South San Francisco.

When they arrived at the motel, the suspect punched all three women as they exited their car and took the keys, police said.

He then stole the car and drove off in an unknown direction. The women ran to a nearby restaurant and called police.

No one was seriously injured.

The stolen vehicle was a 2000 Audi A6 with California license plate 6SNR390.

The suspect, who apparently identified himself as Jason but likes to be referred to as Jesus, was described as 6 feet tall and wt with white stripes and blue jeans. He possibly has a tattoo on his right shoulder that refers to Hayward.

Anyone with information about the suspect or the case is asked to contact the South San Francisco Police Department at (650) 877-8900. Callers wishing to remain anonymous can call (650) 952-2244.
