2 Teens Injured In San Francisco Shooting

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Two teens were injured, one critically, in a shooting in San Francisco's Bayview District on Saturday evening, a police spokesman said Monday.

The 15-year-old girl and 16-year-old boy were outside in the 2900 block of Keith Street about 6:25 p.m. Saturday when two suspects approached and opened fire with handguns, police said.

The girl was shot multiple times in the torso and was taken to a hospital with injuries that are considered life-threatening, police spokesman Officer Gordon Shyy said.

The boy was struck in the foot by the gunfire and was also taken to the hospital. He is expected to survive, Shyy said.

The suspects, described only as males wearing all-black clothing, fled and had not been found as of Monday morning, Shyy said.

Anyone with information about the shooting was encouraged to call the Police Department's anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or to send a tip by text message to TIP411.
