Man Injured In San Francisco Bayview District Stabbing

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A man was critically injured in a stabbing in San Francisco's Bayview District on New Year's Eve, police said Wednesday.

The stabbing was reported around 8 p.m. Monday in the 1400 block of Palou Avenue.

The 53-year-old victim was walking in the area when a male suspect approached and an argument ensued, according to police.

The suspect then stabbed the victim several times and fled. He had not been found as of Wednesday morning, police said.

The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, which were considered life-threatening.
