CLAYTON (CBS 5) — Two school buses crashed near a school in Clayton Friday afternoon, but there are no reports of major injuries.

Authorities said the accident occurred near Diablo View Middle School around 3:30 p.m. A witness said one of the buses rear-ended the other.

Around 40 students were on board the two buses at the time of the crash. Some passengers suffered minor injuries, but authorities have not released information on how many were hurt.

Both buses were removed from the scene as of 5 p.m. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
