iPad GPS Snares San Jose Parolee, Stolen Electronics

MORGAN HILL (CBS/AP) — A GPS tracker in an Apple iPad has led police to a San Jose parolee with a booty of stolen electronics in his home.

Morgan Hill police used the Global Positioning System feature on Monday to find 33-year-old Alfred Maldonado Jr.

When they arrived at the San Jose home, they found a stash of more than $7,000 worth of stolen electronic gear.

Maldonado is in the Santa Clara County Jail, where he was booked for investigation of stolen property and violating parole.
