Powell, Randle Lead Stanford Past Cal, 69-59

STANFORD (CBS/AP) -- Dwight Powell scored 17 points and Chasson Randle added 15 in helping Stanford beat California 69-59 Saturday.

John Gage added 14 points for the Cardinal (11-7, 2-3 Pac-12), who had lost three of their previous four. Josh Huestis had 12 rebounds to go with nine points.

Allen Crabbe and David Kravish each scored 14 points to lead the Bears (10-7, 2-3 Pac-12), who have lost four of their last six. Justin Cobbs added 13 points.

California drew within 43-42 with 13:20 left to play on a Crabbe jumper but the Cardinal eventually rebuilt its lead to 10 points.

Gage hit one of his three 3-pointers with 7:07 remaining to play in the first half to put the Cardinal ahead.

Crabbe, the Pac-12's leading scorer, was limited to four shots in the first half.
