49ers Legend Joe Montana Predicts 'Quest For 6' Success

NEW ORLEANS (CBS 5) -- Four-time Super Bowl quarterback Joe Montana has a strong feeling about the San Francisco 49ers 'Quest For Six.'

"I think it's gonna happen," the 49ers legend predicted to CBS 5 during a brief interview Thursday night that took place along Bourbon Street in the famed French Quarter during a live webcast being streamed here on cbsSF.com.

Montana and his wife, Jennifer, had just arrived a short time earlier in New Orleans in advance of Sunday's big game.

Going into the post-season, Montana had described this year's 49ers team under the leadership of coach Jim Harbaugh and quarterback Colin Kaepernick as "dangerous."

He has also cited the Niners tough defense as one of biggest keys to their successful 11-4-1 season.

Montana, known for being calm under pressure during his four Super Bowl wins, recently noted that he saw similar qualities in Kaepernick.

In his era with the 49ers, Montana was named Super Bowl MVP three times. In his four appearances in the big game, Montana threw 11 touchdown passes and no interceptions.
