PLEASANT HILL (CBS SF) — Two people were held up at gunpoint as armed robbers ransacked their Pleasant Hill home Thursday morning, police said.

Police received a report from a neighbor around 11:30 a.m. of a possible robbery in progress at a home in the 1600 block of Wendy Drive, according to police.

Officers arriving on the scene learned that three armed suspects had entered the home and robbed it.

Police said one of the suspects pistol-whipped one of the residents in the head, inflicting minor injuries.

The suspects held the victims at gunpoint while grabbing cash, a laptop computer and a handgun from the home.

Police said the pair then fled in a newer model Chevrolet Suburban or Trailblazer and were last seen speeding on Wendy Drive.

Officers searched the area and issued a countywide advisory to other law enforcement agencies but the suspects remain at large.

The first suspect is described as a black male who is about 5 feet 10 inches tall with a thin build and black hair. He was wearing a blue shirt and was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun at the time of the robbery, police said.

The second suspect is described as a black male believed to be in his mid 20s who is about 6 feet tall with black hair and a thin build. That suspect was wearing a black, gray and red short-sleeve shirt and was also armed with a semiautomatic gun.

A third suspect was described only as a black male.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Pleasant Hill police at (925) 288-4630.
