(KCBS) – KCBS Entertainment Editor Jan Wahl reviews "Lore," a German-language film that chronicles the Post-World War II journey of a group of children whose parents were part of the Nazi regime.

Jan Wahl Movie Review: Lore (Not Rated)

LORE (NOT RATED)

When we are fortunate, a movie gives us a totally different perspective.

Case in point: this German language, Australian directed film takes us on an unusual journey. World War II is over. A 14 year old girl and her four siblings have to run from the Allies. Why? Their parents, who left them, were highly placed SS officers.

The teen leads her young family through Germany, putting her faith into a Jewish man recently out of a Concentration Camp.

Powerful, touching, and a look at how children are devastated by hate. Saskia Rosendahl and Kai Malina lead a strong cast, directed by Cate Shortland.

Three hats.
