Man, 3 Accomplices Charged In Murder Of Pittsburg Man

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- One man has been charged with murder and three others charged with being accomplices for the fatal shooting of a Pittsburg man whose body was found in a car near an East Oakland park last October.

Oakland police Officer Eric Milina said in a probable cause statement filed in court that Kenyus Walker, 33, was arrested in East Oakland on Tuesday after an eyewitness identified him in a photo lineup as being the person who fatally shot 39-year-old Billy Brooks during an argument on Oct. 7.

Brooks' body was found in a parked car in the 2400 block of Ritchie Street, near Arroyo Viejo Park, later that same day.

Charged with being accomplices after the fact for allegedly helping dispose of Brooks' body are Karnell Marshall, 41, Tameka Tolliver, 38, and Anthony Allen, 49, all of Oakland.

Allen also is charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm and Marshall is charged with having nine prior felony convictions, which could add to his prison sentence if he's convicted.
