RICHMOND (CBS SF) — A man was in critical condition Monday morning after being stabbed in Richmond late Sunday night, a police lieutenant said.

Officers responded to a report of a stabbing in the area of Marina Way and Metro Walk Way just prior to midnight, Lt. Bisa French said.

When officers arrived, they found a male in his late teens suffering from a stab wound, French said.

The male was transported to a hospital to be treated for his injuries which were possibly life-threatening, the lieutenant said.

No suspect information was immediately available. Police were continuing to investigate the incident.

Anyone with information about the stabbing was asked to call Richmond police at (510) 232-8477.
