Woman Shot Dead Outside Oakland Market; Suspect Sought

OAKLAND (CBS SF) — Police were searching for a man who shot and killed a woman outside a West Oakland market Tuesday morning, Oakland police said.

The shooting was reported around 10:30 a.m. at 1600 12th St., in front of the Family Market, police said.

Officers found a woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The suspect in the shooting is described as a black man in his 20s seen wearing a black jacket, a black beanie and light gray pants, police said.

He fled in a vehicle described as a gold or silver late 1990s-model Toyota sedan, police said.
