Carson Palmer Reportedly Rejects $3M Pay Cut From Raiders

OAKLAND (CBS Sports) - Ever since Carson Palmer came out of his semi-retirement to accept a trade to the Raiders, his tenure in Oakland has been filled with more disappointments than triumphs.

Despite the record 4-12 record last year, Palmer still threw for a fairly impressive 4,018 yards last season, making the Raiders think twice about if they should stick with Palmer -- especially if he won't take a paycut. His salary for 2013 is $13 million. It sounds like, by the way, he has absolutely no interest in doing that.

Yahoo! Sports reported that the Raiders asked Palmer to take a $3 million paycut (which, of course, would basically guarantee a $10 million salary for 2013 without the probability of the team cutting him before the season -- not bad for a quarterback who's been disappointing to his team).

But Palmer has reportedly refused, setting up a quandary for the Raiders.
