FREMONT (CBS SF) — The California Highway Patrol was responding to a crash on Interstate Highway 680 in Fremont in which a pickup truck may have gone over the center divider and landed in southbound lanes, a CHP officer said.
The crash was reported at 7:32 a.m. on northbound I-680 at Durham Road.
Initial witness reports to the CHP indicated that a northbound pickup truck had crashed and overturned, landing in southbound lanes, and that someone was trapped.
CHP Officer Ron Simmons said it appeared only one vehicle was involved, and that the injuries may be minor.
