Woman's Body Found On Beach In Emeryville

EMERYVILLE (CBS SF) - A woman's body was found on an Emeryville beach this morning, police said.

At 7:14 a.m., a passerby called police to report seeing an unresponsive person on the beach at Shorebird Park, located off of the western end of Powell Street on a stretch of land that juts out into the Bay.

Emergency personnel responded and pronounced the woman dead.

The case was being investigated as an unattended death, police said.
