Pickup Goes Off Mare Island Bridge Into Water
VALLEJO (CBS SF) -- A pickup truck went off the Mare Island Bridge and landed in about 4 feet of water Saturday morning.
The crash on westbound State Route 37, near the Wilson Avenue entrance ramp, was reported at 7:48 a.m.
The driver and passenger got out. Both were transported local hospitals.
Crews used a 100ft cable to pull the vehicle out of the water. No word as to what caused the accident.
The Department of Fish and Game was notified because of the wildlife in the water.
