BART Eliminates Fare Premium For SFO Workers
OAKLAND (KCBS)— Starting in July, San Francisco International Airport workers who tank Bay Area Rapid Transit to work will save three dollars a day. The BART Board of Directors Thursday voted 7-1 to eliminate a $1.50 per-ride premium for badge-wearing airport employees.
BART Board President Tom Radulovich said it only makes sense under San Francisco's 'Transit-First' policy.

"It's an important policy and I do want to send that message. I feel like this is SFO headed in the right direction making transit more attractive to their riders."
The public pays a $4 premium on top of the regular fare for each SFO trip.
Radulovich said next he wants the San Francisco Board of Supervisors to re-think free parking for some 1,500 SFO employees.
