Raiders Wideout Ford Not Charged After DUI Arrest

OAKLAND (CBS Sports) -- Prosecutors will not file DUI charges against Oakland Raiders wide receiver Jacoby Ford stemming from a traffic stop last month.

Ford was pulled over March 14 because his windows were tinted so much that officers couldn't see in. After approaching the car and speaking with Ford, however, officers allegedly smelled alcohol on his breath.

The 25-year-old receiver subsequently failed a field sobriety test and was placed under arrest.

The case was turned over to the Alamada County District Attorney's Office, which decided this past week not to pursue charges in the case.

"The District Attorney's Office has declined to file charges against Jacoby Ford," a DA spokeswoman said.

Ford had a decent rookie season in 2010 -- 25 catches, 470 yards, two scores -- but has been scarcely effective since. He missed all of 2012 with a left foot injury.
