2 Alarm Fire Extinguished At Home In SF's Bayview

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - A two-alarm fire that burned at a residential building in San Francisco's Bayview District Wednesday morning has been extinguished, a fire department spokeswoman said.

The blaze was reported at 9:19 a.m. at a two-story home at 1342 Shafter Ave. by firefighters who saw flames on the roof of the building, fire spokeswoman Mindy Talmadge said.

Crews called for a second alarm at 9:27 a.m. and had water on the fire minutes later, eventually extinguishing the blaze at 9:47 a.m., Talmadge said.

The fire damaged the roof and an area behind the home's kitchen cabinets, Talmadge said.

No injuries were reported and no one has been displaced, she said.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
