SAN JOSE (CBS SF) – A San Jose mall has been at least partially evacuated Monday morning because of a gas leak nearby, fire officials and mall security said.

Firefighters were at the scene of the leak, on Forest Avenue on the north side of the Westfield Valley Fair Mall, a dispatcher said.

The initial report of the leak came in at 8:08 a.m., the dispatcher said.

An evacuation was under way at the mall, located at 2855 Stevens Creek Blvd., as of 8:45 a.m., security personnel said.

The mall opens at 10 a.m. on weekdays.
