Man Critically Hurt In San Francisco Excelsior Drive-By Shooting

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - A male victim was critically injured in a drive-by shooting in San Francisco’s Excelsior neighborhood on Tuesday night, a police spokesman said Tuesday.

The shooting was reported at about 8:45 p.m. Tuesday at Vienna Street and Brazil Avenue, police spokesman Officer Gordon Shyy said.

Officers responded and found the victim on the sidewalk suffering from a gunshot wound to his shoulder. He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries, Shyy said.

Two suspects were seen fleeing in a light gray Dodge minivan after the shooting, according to Shyy.

The shooter, who was in the passenger seat, was a Hispanic man in his 20s or 30s who was wearing a black ski mask. The driver was a Hispanic man in his 30s who was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, Shyy said.
