Brisbane Man Sues Virgin America For $500k After Contentious Soda Order

BRISBANE (CBS SF) - A fight over soda has turned into a half-million lawsuit.

The incident started when a Brisbane man, identified by the San Francisco Chronicle as Salvatore Bevivino, tried to order a drink on a Philadelphia to San Francisco Virgin America flight.

The flight attendant told him to use the touch screen on the seat back to place his order. He allegedly replied "my time is precious…you are here to serve me."

Bevivino claims the crew accused him of swearing at flight attendants.

The FBI detained him for questioning him after landing, and now he's suing for $500,000 as a result of the incident.

So far, the airline isn't commenting.
