Man Killed In Early Morning Shooting In Front Of Antioch Hotel

ANTIOCH (CBS 5) -- A man was shot and killed in front of an Antioch hotel early Saturday morning, police said.

Dispatchers received a report of a person shot in front of a hotel in the 500 block of East 18th Street around 3:45 a.m., according to police.

Police said officers arrived on the scene to find the victim, a 38-year-old man, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The officers and medical personnel performed life-saving measures on the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

Police are investigating the shooting as a homicide.

No information about potential suspects was available.
