GILROY (CBS SF) — State Highway 152 in Santa Clara County reopened in both directions after a big rig carrying frozen chickens overturned Sunday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred on Highway 152 near state Highway 156 east of Gilroy some time before 10 a.m., Catrans spokeswoman RocQuel Johnson said.

The truck driver was not injured and no other vehicles appeared to have been involved, she said.

The disabled big rig cannot be towed before another truck arrives in the area to take on the frozen payload, Johnson said.

The roadway cleared before 3 p.m.
