3 Killed In Cloverdale Mobile Home Fire

CLOVERDALE (CBS / AP) -- Authorities say three people have died in a fire that started after a loud boom at a mobile home park in Cloverdale.

The fire was reported early Monday morning by residents at the Briarwood Mobile Home Park.

Sonoma County Sheriff's Lt. Dennis O'Leary said two adults and a child died in the blaze.

Cloverdale Fire Department battalion chief Rich Blackmon said about half the structure was on fire when crews arrived, and that the victims were found in a room filled with thick smoke.

The coroner's office said it would identify the victims Tuesday after fire detectives submitted an investigative report.
