Residents Escape 2-Alarm Fire At San Ramon Home

SAN RAMON (CBS SF) - Firefighters were at the scene of a two-alarm garage fire in San Ramon, a San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District spokeswoman said.

The fire was reported at 11:45 a.m. at a two-story home on Portsmouth Court, off of Nantucket Drive, fire district spokeswoman Kimberley French said.

Arriving crews found the garage engulfed in flames, she said.

There were residents at the home when the fire started, but all managed to get out safely, French said. No injuries have been reported.

As of 12:45 p.m., fire crews remained at the scene. The blaze had been contained to the home and did not damage any adjacent houses, French said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, French said.

French said the fire has affected other parts of the house, but it is not yet clear whether anyone was displaced.
