BART Delayed After People Reported On Tracks In San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- BART recovering from delays in both directions Friday after people were reported on the tracks between 16th and 24th streets in San Francisco shortly before 5 p.m., a spokeswoman said.

Two people were reported on the tracks between 16th and 24th streets Friday evening, according to BART spokeswoman Luna Salavar.

One person was located and removed, but there was no second person, Salavar said.

The incident caused delays of around 15 minutes or more in both directions on the Daly City line at the 24th Street station, but has now cleared, according to BART.

Around the same time, there was a report of a naked person in the concourse area of the 16th Street station, Salavar said.

That person was detained by police, and had only a minor impact on service, Salavar said.
