SAN JOSE (CBS SF) — A driver was hospitalized, and a bystander was injured in San Jose after a minivan crashed through the lobby of the Valley Medical Center Friday morning.

KCBS radio reported that the minivan drove through concrete barriers before crashing through a wall, and into the lobby of the hospital.

A hospital spokesperson said that the van came through the window of the hospital around 4:15 a.m., and a janitor on break in the area was injured by flying glass and debris from the crash.

The driver, a man was in stable condition at the hospital.

No further details were available, and police were still investigating the cause of the crash.
