Arson Suspected In Martinez Brush Fire
MARTINEZ (CBS/AP) -- A brush fire in the East Bay was threatening homes Sunday evening and authorities are investigating whether it was set intentionally.
The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District said the four-acre fire broke out shortly after 5 p.m. Sunday in Martinez. It began spreading quickly and was still burning two hours later.
Authorities told the Contra Costa Times the fire is the subject of a criminal investigation but did not say why or report any arrests.
