SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) — A man who fell from the roof of a home along the route of Sunday’s Bay to Breakers race in San Francisco has died of his injuries, according to authorities.
The unidentified man plunged from the home on the 2000 block of Fell St. during a house party, police said.
The man reportedly fell while leaning over the roof around 3:15 p.m. He was rushed to San Francisco General where he later died.
A police spokesman told KCBS on Sunday that it was a 28 year old male who fell from the roof.
San Francisco police arrested 21 people for public intoxication, one for possession of a firearm and one felony arrest for robbery during the race and event, according to police Officer Albie Esparza.
Another 16 people were taken into sobering centers. Police also responded to 20 house parties, notifying party-goers that it was time to “end the festivities,” Esparza said.
One officer sustained minor injuries during an arrest, and two bars were admonished about being over their occupancy limits, Esparza said.
