Antioch Police Arrest Suspect In Shooting

ANTIOCH (CBS SF) -- A man was arrested after allegedly shooting another man on a street in Antioch late Thursday night, police said Friday.

The shooting was reported at 11:23 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of G and West Fourth streets.

Officers arrived to find a man lying ion the street and suffering from a gunshot wound to his back. He was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive his injuries, police said.

Officers were able to learn the identity of the suspect and went to his residence, where he was taken into custody without incident. The name of the suspect was not immediately being released, according to police.
