1 Killed, 1 Hurt In Oakland Shooting, Car Crash
OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- One person was killed and another person was injured in a crash and shooting in East Oakland late Monday night, according to police and fire officials.
Fire officials received a report of a vehicle that had hit a light post and a report of shots fired at about 11:24 p.m. in the 400 block of Ghormley Avenue, near Maddux Drive.
PG&E responded to the scene of the collision to repair damage caused by the vehicle when it struck the light post, according to fire officials.
The identity of the deceased victim had not been released, fire officials said.
