Michelle Williams Talks About Her Character, Sandra Isadore, In Jazz Play 'Fela'

SAN FRANCISCO (KPIX 5) -- Michelle Williams came into the KPIX 5/KBCW studios to talk about her role as Sandra Isadore (who introduced Fela to Malcolm X, Angela Davis and other political activists) in Fela! at Oakland's Paramount Theater (tickets can be purchased via www.felaonbroadway.com) through Sunday, June 9th.

Williams described the late Nigeria musician/activist, Fela as a combination of "Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, James Brown, and Mohammed Ali wrapped up in one."

The segment hosted by KPIX 5's Frank Mallicoat airs Sunday, June 9th at 5:30 a.m. on "Bay Sunday" and at 8 a.m. hosted by Susan Sikora of Bay Area Focus on KBCW 44 Cable 12.

Williams also discussed her Super Bowl LXII performance on CBS with "Destiny's Child" and the possibility of a reunion. She also has an album coming out soon.
