Woman Sought In Walnut Creek Taxi Driver Robbery

WALNUT CREEK (CBS SF) - Walnut Creek police have released photos of a woman with a long, blonde ponytail who robbed a taxi driver earlier this month.

The woman, who is described as in her early 20s, hailed a cab at Treat Boulevard and Bancroft Road at about 8:25 p.m. on June 6, according to police.

She then robbed the cab driver of his money, although no weapon was used, police said.

Just afterward, the woman, who is about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs about 120 pounds, was captured on surveillance video at a 76 station on Valero Road.

Police said an "unsuspecting good citizen" had dropped the woman off at the gas station. The woman reportedly used the name Caitlin.

Police are asking anyone with information about the case to contact Detective Jeha at (925) 256-3518.
