Oakland Boy, 11, Grazed By Bullet While Sleeping
OAKLAND (CBS/AP) -- An 11-year-old boy is recovering from a bullet wound he received while he was sleeping when someone shot into his family's Oakland apartment.
A bullet grazed the boy, who was one of seven people inside the apartment when the shots were fired before dawn on Sunday. The injury was not life-threatening.
None of the other occupants were hurt.
Oakland Police Lt. Brandon Wehrly said officers are looking for two suspects, but don't yet know if they fired from a car or while standing outside the dwelling.
Wehrly said investigators aren't sure why the apartment was targeted.
