Landry Leans Toward Opting Out Of Warriors Contract

OAKLAND (CBS Sports) -- Golden State Warriors forward Carl Landry is leaning toward opting out of the final year of his contract and pursuing free agency, according to his agent.

"He's worth a lot more than the contract he has and the direction (we're moving) toward is him opting out," said his agent, Mark Bartelstein. "Things can change, but that's where it's leaning."

Landry signed with the Warriors last year for two years and $8 million total, below perceived market value for a player of his ability and production. The second year was a player option that he can choose to exercise if he'd like to stay with Golden State.
