Hayward Bank Windows Shattered In Drive-By Shooting

HAYWARD (CBS SF) - The windows of a downtown Hayward bank were shattered Tuesday in an apparent drive-by shooting, according to police.

The incident happened around 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the U.S. Bank branch on the 900 block of B St. in Hayward.

Police Sergeant Mark Ormsby said witness told officers someone had shot out the bank's windows from a moving car.

A number of the building windows were shattered, said Ormsby.

Investigators did not have a description of the suspect and a motive was not immediately known.

No one was hurt in the shooting, said Ornsby.
