SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – A San Francisco-based eBay seller is offering what he describes as “an apparition of Jesus Christ” that he discovered while cooking dinner earlier this month.

In a story first reported by SFist, seller mattrick_subtext has offered up a tamale he says he was frying up on May 4th when the image, which does resemble a male face, appeared.

“We can’t explain it, but we’re fascinated. Was it a miracle or happenstance? After examining the husk, we also noticed the outline of a body and hand beneath his face… goosebumps,” reads the post from mattrick_subtext.

The tamale, which is listed as used, was offered for a starting bid of $10 through the online auction site.

As of Tuesday morning, nobody was buying.

According to the listing, 10 percent of the sale will go to St. Jude Hospital.
