Suisun City Police Release Photo Of Suspect In Stabbing Murder

SUISUN CITY (CBS SF) -- Police in Suisun City have released photos of a suspect wanted in connection with the fatal stabbing of a woman on Tuesday evening.

At 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday police responded to a report of a woman bleeding and asking for help at 1395 Worley Road, Sgt. Dan Healy said.

Officers found 30-year-old Lorena Martinez, of Fairfield, suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was taken to North Bay Medical Center and was able to give a statement about the incident and identified Victor Mejia as her attacker, police said.

She later died at the hospital.

Police believe that after stabbing her in an apartment, Mejia took her car and abandoned it on the Benicia-Martinez Bridge. Mejia remains at large.

Anyone with information about the case has been asked to contact Cmdr. Tim Mattos at (707) 421-7373.
