SAN FRANCISCO (CBS Sports) — Living with Colin Kaepernick means playbook quizzes while you are in the shower.

Just ask new San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Ricardo Lockette.

Lockette, who signed with San Francisco in September, is housemates with the 49ers quarterback. Kaepernick apparently has several unique ways of helping Lockette learn the team’s playbook, including shower quizzes.

“We play Madden and Call of Duty. But when we aren’t doing that, we pop quiz each other about the playbook,” Lockette said. “I might be in the shower, and he might walk by the bathroom and yell, ‘Hey, what do you have on Colorado 750?’ I will tell him a route, but if it’s wrong, he will come in and throw something over the shower curtain.”

Living with your team’s quarterback might mean you sometimes get things thrown at you in the shower – but it also means you’re probably friends with him, which is good news for Lockette, who is one of several receivers trying to replace the injured Michael Crabtree in the 49ers’ starting lineup for the upcoming season.
