Mineta San Jose Airport Seeing Delays Days After SFO Crash

SAN JOSE (KCBS) — Saturday's crash landing of Asiana Flight 214 at SFO was causing delays at airports across California and in particular at Mineta San Jose International.

Unlike at SFO there were no cancellations or even delays at San Jose's airport but the security lines at Terminal B were much longer than normal for a Monday.

Airport officials said that's because they're handling some flights diverted from SFO, including at least a dozen from Sunday. In addition a large number of holiday travelers are returning home from the 4th of July.

Meanwhile, Oakland International Airport did not receive any additional diverted flights from SFO on Sunday, but airport officials said they are still "ramping up" just in case.
